CII Brand Summit in Chennai on February 17th
Published February 2nd, 2005 in Branding. The event is being held on the 17th & 18th of February in Chennai. The Concept Note, Agenda and the Registration form are available from these links. It is a little expensive for individuals @ INR 15000 (approx.320 USD), but it should be worth it. Surprisingly there is no student delegate fee mentioned! I am sure there would be a lot of interested students in and around Chennai who would like to attend this. Especially with Great Lake Institute of Management (started by Prof. Bala Balachandran) hogging the news lately for its work and the new infrastructure and two IIM’s (Bangalore and Kozhikode) within a night’s travel from Chennai, I think that it would make enormous difference and learning for the students.
“Connecting with the consumer in the Changing Brandscape”. A theme which I think is also very relevant considering the current economic practices in India. India as a brand still has to be sold to the world community and there is a major task ahead. I hope there are some concrete measures arrived at during this summit. I also don’t find anyone from the Finance, Economics or the Industry ministry who is part of the speakers. This event can ideally be a good forum for the Government to take a few cues on how to market the country! The awards function will be telecast live on CNBC. Watch out!
